Legal Officer – Conveyancing - Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) Company

Manage and execute mortgage bonds and other related notarial documents on behalf of the Company
Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of conveyancing and property law.
Review, draft, and finalize property related agreements and other property related legal documents.
Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements in mortgage bond transactions.
Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth property transactions.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all legal requirements are met during the loan approval process.
Prepare title reports and cause to register such deeds within the stipulated time periods.
Keep up to date with changes in property and mortgage laws, ensuring the Company remains compliant

Attorney-at-Law and/or LLB degree
Valid notarial license in English (Sinhala license is optional) in the Judicial Zone of Colombo
A minimum of 6 years' experience in conveyancing (handling mortgage bond execution will be advantageous)
Extensive knowledge of property law, mortgage bond transactions and notarial deeds
Proficiency in drafting and reviewing property related legal documents, including property-related agreements
Strong attention to detail and an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
