We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and proactive Corporate Legal Officer to strengthen our legal and compliance function. This role offers the opportunity to support business growth across our hospitals, laboratories, and pharmacies while ensuring strong legal governance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of corporate agreements and contracts.
  • Provide legal oversight for agreements involving hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, and business partners.
  • Conduct legal reviews and risk assessments of new and existing contracts.
  • Manage legal matters related to hospital acquisitions, partnerships, and expansion projects.
  • Oversee the complete contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
  • Handle litigation, disputes, and customer-related legal matters.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, licenses, and registrations.
  • Provide legal support on employee-related matters in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Identify legal risks and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
  • Support operational and administrative functions with sound legal advice.
  • Assist with company secretarial work (an added advantage).

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Qualified Attorney-at-Law.
  • Valid notarial license to practice in both English and Sinhala.
  • Company secretarial experience and a company secretarial license will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a corporate legal role (healthcare industry experience preferred but not essential).
  • Strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Thorough understanding of Sri Lankan legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
