WE ARE HIRING – LEGAL OFFICER (EXECUTIVE GRADE)

Join Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC (ORCL), one of Sri Lanka’s leading real estate developers and the owner, developer, and manager of the iconic World Trade Center Colombo and Havelock City.

We are seeking a qualified and dynamic Legal Officer to support our legal operations and contribute to the continued success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend to all aspects of notarial work including title examinations, drafting, preparation, execution, and registration of deeds and agreements.
  • Liaise with government and semi-government institutions including the Land Registry, Registrar General’s Department, Condominium Management Authority, CSE, SEC, BOI, ROC, FIU, IPO, and other relevant authorities.
  • Draft, negotiate, review, and manage corporate and commercial agreements.
  • Handle registration, maintenance, and renewal of intellectual property rights, including trademarks.
  • Represent the company before courts, tribunals, and other legal forums.
  • Coordinate with external legal consultants and counsels on company legal matters.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Attorney-at-Law, Notary Public (licensed to practice in English within the District of Colombo), Commissioner for Oaths, and Registered Company Secretary.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in notarial practice and drafting leases, deeds, and commercial agreements.
  • Experience in conveyancing, Condominium Property Law, Company Law, Company Secretarial practices, Intellectual Property, and litigation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Professional attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Age below 30 years.
